Children killing is a rare cause but when it does happen, they are so much more ruthless than adult killers. Some kill their parents, friends, their neighbors, or some go and do a school shooting. What I wanted to know was why? Why do these kids kill?
School shootings happen more often than murders. Its been known that kids who shoot at their school are often self-centered. angry, and pretty consistent. Most of the kids have no feelings for others. Often times these children torture and kill animals. But these kids sometimes have more sympathy reasonings for it. Some of these kids come from broken, abusive homes which is what is leading them to become aggressive. Sometimes they could even be bullied and think that the only answer to help is to kill the people who are doing so, but it obviously it is not.
Preadolescents, those under 11, typically do not understand the concept of death. Adolescents are more likely to kill because of the normal turbulence of adolescence runs up against constraints. A lot of these kids are abused, bullied or very mentally unstable and antisocial.
There are many characteristics of children killers. Here are some common ones, evidence of family violence, attempts to run away or commit suicide, isolation from peers, a gun available in home and alcoholism present in parents. There is obviously more than that but it would feel repetitive to keep going.
